I’m showing two pieces in this show. ‘The Independent’ in a new, large format and ‘Staples’.
The Independent is a wonderful piece evoking Edward Hopper for many people, It’s a good example of my fascination with ambient light photography.
Staples is an extreme closeup of a light pole here in the City. The gallery print is large – 24″ x 55″. Coming close to it your eye is drawn to the extremely shallow depth of field that seems to wind its way up the image following the crack in the wood. Again, this is a theme that I’m drawn to – taking time to explore the texture and depth of something I walk by daily.
Other work being shown is by the other artists in the studio. It’s a vibrant and diverse group. Please stop by to say hello and see the new space.
